How do I measure the stack height?

The stack height is the dimension from the very base of the handle up to the underside of the cockspur ‘nose’ or ‘arm’, as per drawing below:

How do I know which hand I need?

All window handles are handed as in the pictures below. The easiest way to remember is that the handing will correspond to whichever hand you use to open the handle. For example, if you open the handle with your right hand then the handle is right-handed.
