Delivery delays due to adverse weather
- General
- 12 February 2014
With the awful weather the UK is experiencing at the moment, some of our deliveries are becoming delayed for the following reasons.
Heavy Rain in London traffic
A serious traffic accident on the M6 between junctions 28/29 has delayed some of our services in and out of Scotland overnight. In addition, a sink hole on the M2 has closed the motorway and may delay our delivery collection services in the CT and ME postcodes in Kent.
All our delivery services are out as normal this morning. However, there are currently 16 severe flood warnings affecting the South East and South West England and a further 122 flood warnings including the Midlands and East Anglia, which will impact our delivery and collection capabilities in the worst affected areas. Furthermore, snow has fallen overnight in Northern Ireland, Scotland and some areas of Northern England. The weather forecast today is for severe winds and further heavy rainfall over much of England and Wales.
The postcodes where flooding and snow may impact our services today are:
BN, BT35, BT40-49, BT78-79, CT, DD, DE45, DE73, DH7-9, DH13-15, FK, G21-22, G67-68, G74-75, HR, IG, IV, KT11, KT16, KW, LL, ME8-13, ML, NE42-49, NE61-71, OX10, OX14, PH, RG17, RM, SK17, SK23, SN, SP, SL3, TD, TW13-20, WR2.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this causes, and hope to get your goods to you as soon as possible.
Kind Regards
