Cylinder Security In The News
- Hardware For Doors
- 25 April 2012
There have been several reports in the media in recent months warning homeowners about the various methods employed by thieves to break cylinders. The public are becoming increasingly more aware of this vulnerability and this has led many housing associations and local authorities to begin specifying anti-snap and anti-bump cylinders
More and more end users are now requesting high security cylinders for their doors.
The RAM cylinder from Kaba provides resistance against not only bumping, but also drilling, snapping, plug/cylinder extraction and chisel attack. All for a price far lower than you’d normally expect to pay for this level of security.
The GeGe RAM (resistance against manipulation) is a 6-pin protection, open profile high security cylinder, the first of its kind to be awarded the Kitemark – Tested and approved to BS EN 1303:2005.
